KitchenAid KSB465OB 4-Speed Countertop Blender with 48-Ounce Polycarbonate Jar, Onyx Black

We like to buy things that last
So, after 30 years, we needed a new blender. Hmmm. My wife and I hadn't a clue where to start nor what was out there. On my first two internet searches all I found were the two extremes: small fractional Hp motors or the ridiculously priced $400 to $500 unit.

And yes, of course we want to crush ice - who doesn't? I have enough engineering background to know that a 0.2 to 0.5 Hp motor is NOT going to crush ice. Finally, we found the KitchenAid models! Some were 0.9 Hp, which is more like it. The pitcher (I call it) was a larger diameter and a little squat - perfect design for better blending, not to mention storage.

We decided that two speeds just wasn't enough, 3 speeds would be borderline and we certainly didn't want anything ridiculous like 10 or 15 speeds. (That's what they do when the motor is underpowered to do the job.) We settled on the KitchenAid KSB465Wh 4-speed with 48 ounce jar and 0.9 Hp motor. The weight wasn't given but the appearance gave...

A clear winner!
After doing more blender research than I care to admit to myself, I narrowed my search to three blenders. I selected this model after speaking to a most informed and helpful Kitchenaid customer service rep who answered my remainding questions one Saturday afternoon. Since, they staffed their customer serviced department on the weekends, I was already impressed. This blender replaced a just out-of-warranty Cuisinart blender which I loved, until it died a premature death, I can say without hestiattion this model is far better. Since I use our blender daily to make breakfast smoothies, some with ice, I thought my blender needs were simple. Quite to the contrary, I discovered. There is no middle ground when it comes to chopping ice and this blender does a superb and lighin' quick job. I add very frozen berries to the morning mix and this blender handles them beautifully. The performance, design, ease of operation and cleaning each have exceeded my expectations.

I love the KitchenAid blender but . . .
This review is for the KitchenAid KSB465RT 4-speed countertop blender with the 48-ounce polycarbonate jar in empire red.

Revised rating to say that this blender leaked underneath the jar. It lasted well but one day I "boiled" it over accidentally and that killed it. I did re-purchase a pink one because I really like this blender design. My newer one has not leaked. I do, however, keep one hand on the handle to keep it from moving at all, and another on the lid to hold it down firmly while running it. I still recommend this blender, but be prepared to return it immediately if it leaks underneath.

THE LID: The lid design is much better than the Oster beehive. The Oster used to toss food on the wall and down the sides of the jar sometimes, making a mess that was hard to reach to clean on the base. This lid has a deep flange so food doesn't escape the blender.

THE JAR: The KitchenAid jar is plastic. That means it's lightweight, and it won't break...

Duraflame Infrared Rolling Mantel - 5200 BTU, 1500 Watts, Model# 23IF1714-0107

My first electric heater/fireplace mantel
I love my duraflame infrared electric heater /fireplace mantel. It's my first so I hope I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. It pumps out the heat! I have it in my livingroom and it keeps it comfortable. I keep it on 72F the default setting and the heater auto shuts itself off when it reaches it's temperature, an when it drops in the room it comes back on.The heater is not loud. It also has an auto timer too which is nice! Also a flame adjuster and remote. When you shut the unit off the fan will keep blowing to cool the components down(for a few minutes). Also the wheels on the mantel are convenient, because you can roll it into any room to "knock the chill off "without turning your heater up in your home. The picture actually didn't do it justice. I was impressed with the mantel nice wood finish, beautiful and I fell in love with the flame, it is very real looking. My parents have a duraflame infrared electric heater stove at their house and I was impressed with the real...

Best purchase I ever made
We live in a 1970s mobile home with 2 additions. Its not very well insulated and to make matters worse, our furnace ducts run under the belly of the home where they are exposed to the cold air. Our propane bill hit $650.00 for just 5 weeks of heat, and we knew we were in trouble. So we bought this electric fireplace for our living/dining/kitchen/hallway and use it along with 3 smaller infrared heating unts (one in each bedroom) and our house stayed comfortably (70 degrees) warm the rest of winter. It felt SOOO good to call the propane company and tell them we didnt need them to come back out for a LONG time. (our water heater is still propane but Im considering changing that) Even better, Our electric bill has stayed under 200 bucks and I am one HAPPY CAMPER!!! Our total investment in all 4 units is less than we paid for one month of propane!!!!! No more wondering how we will ever be able to afford to heat our home.

-It is every bit as beautiful as it looks...

infrared fireplace
I couldn't believe how quick we received our fireplace. it's beautiful, heats the room nice and evenly too. we had a propane fireplace, up near the ceiling it would be hot and the floor would be cold. now it's nice and toasty high and low.. the fire sure looks real too. we really love our fireplace. we have only owned it a few days so not sure how the electric bill will be but i do know the furnace hasn't kicked on all afternoon. so saving on propane for sure. great item.

Oreck XL 2000 Upright Commercial 8 lb Vacuum Hypo-Allergenic Filtration

A Mixed Bag
I've owned three different Oreck XLs over the course of six years and used them 5 days a week for most of that time, so I can say with confidence that I'm well aware of the pros and cons of this model. I wanted a vacuum powerful enough to handle cleaning two or three big houses a day that wasn't too heavy to lift in and out of the trunk several times a day. On those two points, the XL clearly does excel. With an empty bag it's only 8lbs, making it by far the lightest upright vac I've found that can do the job. And when it's functioning properly it performs very well. When it isn't you're going to run into some problems.

Here's the good -

1. As I said, this vacuum is extremely light and highly maneuverable, which does somewhat make up for it's lack of a hose with attachments. It can lay completely flat for getting underneath furniture, and it absolutely glides over hard wood or most carpets. Elderly housekeepers may find this especially appealing, since it's...

great for allergies and animal hair
I have had an Oreck for 18 years and I won't own any other kind of vacuum. I worked for Merry Maids which that is all they use. I have used it on all types of flooring and hauled it from house after house when I was working. Now I am at home all the time and I bought one when I quit working and I won't own any other vacuum. I have raise dogs and I have not found another vacuum that will pick up the hair like the Oreck. I just can't say enough good about it. I keep looking at them and saving for a new one I can't wait to get one. My 18 year old Oreck that I have has a few broken parts but it is still doing it's job and very well. We also had a port a vac which we took with at work so naturally I bought one of those which is also 18 years old it is still working but also needs to be replaced but with those two items you really can't go wrong.

Love My New Oreck
I'm in love--with my new commercial Oreck! In the last 7 years, I have gone through 3 vacuums. My all tile house took a toll on the wheels of all 3 Kenmores that I owned. They did a great job picking up the dog hair, and cleaning my rugs--but not so good on the dust. My old Orecks were non-commercial ones that developed electrical cord problems. That's why I tried tried the Kenmore uprights.
This new Oreck has been terrific so far. I had forgotten how light an Oreck is! I can vacuum my mattresses, dog beds, couch cushions by just lifting the Oreck onto the surface. I do still swiffer after I vacuum, but I'm down to one swiffer cloth instead of three. (We live in southern Nevada with lots of wind and dust storms) It also has a more compact head so it goes under more of my furniture and around tight spaces.
When I read the other reviews before I bought my Oreck, two negatives were mentioned; the loudness and the smell from the bags. First, my Kenmores were just as...

Genuine Eureka AA Eureka & WhirlWind Vacuum Bag 58236B - 3 pack

It's a bag, it sucks, which is good
What's there to say it's a vacuum bag... just put it in megamaid and suck, suck, suck! What else umm.. there's 3 of them in the bag, so once you're done sucking all the air out of planet Druidia you have 2 more for other planets. Just remember, the combination is 12345, same thing I have on my luggage.

Eureka & Whirlwind AA Vacuume Bag
I own a very old Eureka vacuum cleaner and I just checked on Amazon to see if I could find bags for it and to my surprise I found my size vacuum cleaner bags. This is a very good brand of vacuum cleaner bags, I'm sure they carry it in other sizes as well. I Recommend this sell for your vacuum cleaner needs. They even carry my size belts for my vacuum cleaner.

works good
Bought them for a friend, its a good vacuum bag just like the ones the when I first purchased the vacuum. Easy to use holds a lot
No messing with emptying a cannister.

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Stone Pro Sharpening Stone

A must have for quality knifes.
I just purchased this product to use on my Henckels knifes. About two years ago i purchased a set of 5 star Henckels knifes, after good use they were starting to become pretty dull, the sharpening steel that came with the set did the trick for about 2 or 3 uses but then it was back to being dull. I was told what i needed to have was a sharpening stone and use it in conjunction with the steel.

The written directions were straight forward and somewhat easy to understand. The diagrams though were a little difficult to understand for a novice, but i jumped on Youtube and looked up knife sharpening which made it pretty complete.

There's two side, one a rough sharpening stone and the othere a smooth for finishing. I put a little bit of water on the stone, after i was done using both the stone and the steel sharpener my knifes are just as good as when i bought them.

No good kitchen is complete without a stone sharpner, sharp knifes equals safe fingers.

An effective, affordable sharpening stone
This product effectively sharpens Henckels knives after they begin to dull over time. I would definitely advise practicing with some junk knives until you are familiar with the sharpening motions. I won't say the stone restores the original sharpness, but I have been very happy with the results. I imagine that with time and practice, one would be able to sharpen knives to near original sharpness. I prefer to use the stone to other knife sharpeners because it will not gouge the blade as long as the instructions are carefully followed.

The only problem I have had with this stone has to do with shipping. I ordered one for myself and it arrived with a cracked and chipped case, which I fixed with super glue. I ordered a second stone as a gift and it also had a cracked and chipped case. I did not have any problems with broken or cracked stones on either order. The merchant should probably better prepare this product for shipment.

Very satisfied
This stone gets my cold forged, stainless steel knives razor sharp. I have had this stone combination for a couple years now and it works great. The plastic case with rubber stops holds the stone well on the counter top. The coarse grit side quickly get all the nicks out of the blade and reshapes the bevel. The fine side puts on a mirrored, razor edge. You have to know how to do the work but after a little practice you can feel when the angle is right. I am very satisfied with this product.

EdenPURE GEN3 Model 1000 Quartz Infrared Heater

Frigid_out_West
We purchased the EdenPure 1000XL directly from the manufacture, BioTech Research (Canton, OH). It took twice as long as we were told to arrive and the remote did not work right out of the box. Within five days the unit started turning off and not coming back on despite waiting for hours and room temperture dropping to the point the propane furnace came on.

In order to get the unit to restart I had to turn the "power" button "off" and unplug the unit for anywhere from 5-20 minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Only after our experience did I look further into online reviews of EdenPure products which are not favorable. I also checked into BioTech Research (Canton, OH) through the Ohio Better Business Bureau and saw that BioTech has had numerous complaints from customers with similar problems.

Edenpure is a rip off per Consumer Reports
Reported by: John Matarese

Viewers have been asking me about a space heater advertised in newspapers and on Paul Harvey's radio show the past few weeks.

It's the EdenPure space heater .... a heater so "advanced," it can supposedly cut your heating bill up to 50%.The cost: $400...four times the price of most heaters.

Our partners at Consumer Reports magazine have tested it and other heaters.

Is the EdenPure Amazing?

The results of the test of the heavily advertised EdenPure were not promising. The $400 EdenPure ended up at the bottom of the ratings. It was the worst performing of 20 space heaters tested.

Top Performing Heaters

Top rated: The Honeywell Electric heater HZ-519, for just $60. (It's sold by Home Depot and Amazon.com, among other stores, but it may be in short supply, due to Consumer Reports' review. Honeywell makes some similar models wtihout the digital display that you may want to consider.)...

No Better Than Other Space Heaters
I purchased the edenpure 1000 and found that the main difference between it and other space heaters is price. I own several other space heaters including one 1500 watt unit with a fan and one 1500 watt oil filled radiator style heater. I can't tell any real difference in the heating ability of any of them except one thing...price. I purchased an oil filled radiant heater from Target for $28 which seems to do just as well as the edenpure which cost hundreds of dollars more. Not a good value.

49973900 Black & Decker Vacuum Cleaner Replacement Filter

Fits perfectly
These filters are the perfect fit for my Black & Decker CWV9630 Wet/Dry 9.6 volt Dust Buster.

WVF30 Dustbuster Wet Dry Vac 9.6 Volt replacement filters
I give this product a great rating because it is the filters for the 9.6 Volt Wet Dry Vac Dustbuster which are extremely hard to find. The filter is the WVF30 filter. The description from the company never states that, that is why I felt this reveiw would be helpful. Also, they came in a reasonable amount of time.

Fits Black & Decker Dust Buster (CWV9630)
What more is there to say? These filters are the ones you need for the Black & Decker Dust Buster wireless hand vac, model CWV9630. I have the lime green/white model, in case you have the same.
If you're not sure what model you have, look under the vac, on there you should see a sticker where the electrical description of the vac is. There you'll see the model number next to where says Type 1.
The filter itself is the original part as far as I'm concerned. It fist like the old one did and that's all I needed. At this price you should at least buy a couple, like I did, because these filters for some reason are hard to find localy. Good luck.

Eureka RD 52100 Belt (2 Pack)

These works great!
After the replacement belt that came with the vacuum broke, I thought the best is get as many belt as I can in case the belt breaks again. Now I have plenty of belt to work with, so I can keep that vacuum around for another 10 yrs.

are thiese really Eureka belts?
In comparing a belt from an actual Eureka RD twin pack, I noticed they are stamped Eureka Rd and have a part number on them. These don't have any such markings. So, this leads me to believe they are really aftermarket products. They look similar, but I don't think they are what is being advertised when comparing to the actual ones.

Good Belts
I'm glad I found these here ! I had been looking around locally with not luck. These belts seem to work better than the belts I purchased in the past at the big box stores. I run these on a commercial sweeper that gets a lot of use and they last a long time.

SAMPLE: Wide LeafsOut Micro Mesh Gutter Guard. Stainless steel Leaf Guard Gutter Covers shields out debris. Fits 7 inch rain gutter, 6 inches long.

Excellent sample
Used this to check fit over the 6K gutters and it works well. I also experimented placing the grit and debris from the gutter onto the screen to see what would drop through. This larger size has slightly wider mesh but it still kept out the typical shingle grit. Only the tiny dust dropped through. When I ran the water across it, the rubber barrier caused the water to drip off the screen on the bottom side. The screen stiffness seems adequate to survive typical wear & abuse. Easy to install myself. I decided to order 12 of the 4 ft lengths to cover the gutter area I am most concerned with as an experiment for the next year and them buy more, if it performs well.

Update July 27: For normal rain fall quantity it continues to work fine. I need to clean the inside corners from the needles and bigger grit about once every 2 months during the winter. I have metal flashing in the valley where the roof slopes join (east/north), which speeds up the water flow for the two inside...

Good Product
Tried the sample to make sure it would fit and install properly, and see if it would work for my application (excessive seeds). Looks like it will do the job.

LeafsOut Gutter Guard
I have installed these on all my gutters. They work great with the exception of where they meet in a roof valley. They clog as with all others that I have tried. The roof valleys still need occassional cleaning. It is just a matter of brushing the debis off. The quality control on these are poor. Some are shipped pre-drilled and others are not drilled. The rigid aluminum extrusions are not evenly aligned from front to back causing irregular installations. Overall though, they are still the best I have found. I just cleaned my sister-in-laws expensive never clogging professional gutter guards. These work better.

Multi-Purpose ECO Pressurized Steam Cleaning and Sanitizing System with Attachments - Great Handheld Steam Cleaner For Bed Bug Treatment - Indoors, Outdoor, Kitchen, Bathroom, Shower, Closet, Patio, Garage and Car - by Metro Fulfillment House

Good concept but one crucial part is made wrong
Steam Cleaning is the perfect method for many things around the house. But this particular item is cheaply made and priced accordingly. It started leaking hot steam at the handle scolding my fingers after the second use. I took it apart and found the plastic nozzle broken inside and the silicone tube connecting it and the tank had come loose. The tube had a cramp on each end, so I was able to re-attach it to the nozzle because luckily the broken plastic had just enough length to be re-inserted into the tube. While I certainly appreciate that I can aim it at different angles due to the nozzle's ball joint, any movable part should be made of better quality material, especially in this case, that of heat resistant. I guess though, at least I got what I paid for.

Just Not durable it's terrible
Iv wanted a steamer that is durable and very efficient. But the tip on the steamer broke within a week. This product is cheap. Wish I cen get a refund

works good
anothe reviewer said the spout broke. I put Vaseline on the spout's o-ring so that the friction is reduced. I've had no problems and this unit works great. Yes its a cheap chinese item, but its working great and I've had no problems. I definitely pumps out the steam, and quick! I'd say all of these regardless of price are for spot cleaning. Its really good on carpet spots. As far as cleaning windows, walls, etc. as it indicates is possible, well forget that. Its for small spots.

perfect for my kitchen aid
Not sure why this part broke but it did and this was a perfect replacement. Was the same quality as original.

not much to talk about, as it is just a plastic nut, but it was the best price I could find and it fits my dishwasher

Fits my old KitchenAid dishwasher perfectly
The Whirlpool Dishwasher Spray Arm Retainer Nut fit my old KitchenAid dishwasher perfectly. Installing the nut was a snap too. Finally, the part arrived quickly after I ordered it from Amazon. My kids were delighted as they've been spoiled by having a dishwasher and were tiring of the old-fashioned method of washing dishes by hand. Poor kids! Smile!!!

Whirlpool 12656106 End Cap for Refrigerator

Perfect fit, but design could be better
Can you rate a replacement part? It's a perfect match for the old one (which it had better be) and easy to swap out, so 5 stars for that. Too bad the tab holding the cover is so flimsy. With two-year-olds in the house, I'm sure I'll be replacing it again, so 1 star for that. That averages to 3.

Replacement for a broken piece
When my kids accidentally broke this I thought Like everything else associated with the refrigerator parts it would cost a fortune. But a quick web search proved me wrong, all places were around the same price but none offered shipping as fast as Amazon prime.

good product-almost exactly identical
just a little bit off on one corner but not enough to stop it from working or allowing the drawer to open/close

MAC brand Ceramic Knife Sharpener #SR85

Much better than any grooved steel
Please don't listen to "Capt Tom". A grooved steel can give similar results if used VERY cautiously, but because all the tiny contact points put greater pressure on the knife they can actually cause microscopic serrations.

If you spent the money on a quality knife do yourself a favor and go ceramic. It might take a little longer to hone you knife, but you can rest easy knowing that you are properly realigning the edge without ruining your precious knife.

poor quality control
While I love my Mac knives, I can't say the same for this ceramic rod. Mine came with two small protrusions on it just waiting to ding my edge. Luckily, there's enough clean real estate on the rod to avoid these problematic areas. However, I don't think I should have to go through the hassle of orienting the ceramic rod so carefully every time I want to run my knife down it.

Great Value!
I've been very impressed with this sharpening rod. It's a great product, but more importantly it's a great value. Before buying this product, I priced ceramic sharpening steels around the Toronto area [where I live] and came away appalled at how much places were charging. They commonly ranged in price from $50-150, and none were much different than this one. I recently compared this rod to a $150 Global ceramic sharpening rod, and couldn't find much difference in the ceramic surface. The difference was that the Global rod featured their signature metal handle, and a giant rubber guard at the top of the handle. The finger guard on the Mac rod is quite trim, but I have yet to really see any need for a giant rubber guard. If you are really so concerned about cutting down into the handle and catching your fingers, you don't need a $150 rod, you need to change your technique.

Pentair 59023300 Complete Element Grid Assembly Replacement 60 Square
I was leary of trying to change out the grid assembly on my own due to my ability to do such things, but I wanted to save a few dollars both in having someone do it for me and the grid were less expensive than the pool stores. Very easy to do and product works like expected. I was very happy with this purchase.

Great
Our old grid system was ten years old and since several grids needed replacing, I chose to replace the entire one. The pool looks great. The cost was so much better than buying at a pool store, or replacing a few grids. Well worth it.

Pentair Grid assembly
This is the original and real Pentair grid assembly, it comes complete, very easy to exchange and place it into the filter.

Seville Classics UltraSlimline EHF10115 17-Inch Tower Fan

Quiet but....
It's quiet, so silent that I forget that it's on, but the main button to adjust the fan doesn't work. That's a huge issue. It says push it once and it goes to the next fan level, but I push it and it remains the same. So i push it over and over again repeatedly and nothing changes. It takes a couple pushes for it to change to the next fan level. I can't push it to even turn it off sometimes; I unplug it from the outlet now. I'm happy enough that I won't return it but if I wasn't as lazy, I would have returned it and gotten a new one. If this starts making noises though, I'm definitely giving this a 2 star.

Fan issues
This thing worked for about three months and the fan quit working.I had to take it apart and oil the fan bearings!I do run it 24 hrs a day also. After six months its still working after oiling it.

Love it!
This is what i was looking for. I just wish it had a remount but other then that I love. I sleep with a fan on at night all year around. Even in the winter time. So I wanted a little small fan for my bed room. So I got this. It is just want I was looking for. I love it.

Oatey 34045 Access Panel, 8-Inch x 8-Inch

Good With Some Encouragement
Installed with the proper steps this is a great product. I've ordered and installed five of them. To paint them, make sure you paint the two parts separately and give the paint time to cure before you work with it (as it will need to withstand some flexing). I used Benjamin Moore paint and it held more securely with some Killz primer, though the one I simply painted did wind up working out great after curing with a small touchup. In regard to folks who gummed it up, I'm not sure what they did. You wouldn't want to simply paint over it or (worse yet) roll over it, as that would fill the crevices with paint and obviously cause problems.

The product does come with a slight bow to it so it won't necessarily lay perfectly flat against the wall. When I installed it with Liquid Nails I had to prop a 2x4 across the bowed portion and lean some drywall against it to keep in in place. That was a bit of an annoyance and might cause trouble for people if they don't have something to...

Good access panel for a fair price.
I like the style and operation of the Oatey access panels. They are a clean look and a pretty basic design. They can be surface-mounted or flush-mounted in 5/8" drywall. I used them in a surface-mount install. I would buy them again.

Worked well
I mounted this on OSB wood in my garage. Just used a construction adhesive and worked great. However, the one complaint I have is the door doesn't sit flush... there's a little bulge. I used a heat gun to warm it up and bent it the opposite way so it then sat more flush. I would recommend to put the door in place before glueing so to make sure the opening is cut big enough so it is not warping the outer piece which you glue.

Whirlpool W10293048 Gas Valve for Range

Perfect fit for my whirlpool range/oven, but did not solve my problem
This gas valve was a perfect replacement for my whirlpool range/oven (GFG461LVS2). However, it turned out that replacing this part didn't contribute toward solving my problem at all. No fault of the part, which was perfect, hence the 5 star rating.

To hep others that might encounter the same symptoms, I'm posting my experience here:
My symptoms:
Oven bake operation worked for about 20 minutes or so with proper ignition and flame. After 20 minutes, the oven bake flame would ignite and then immediately go out. The oven attempts ignition 3 times with this result (immediatily shutting down the flame automatically), then gives up using the bake flame and locks it off. The lockout can be reset by pressing the stop button. No other indication is given on the display when the lockout occurrs, so it looks as if your oven is still operating normally, even though it is slowly cooling down. You might not notice it until you go to remove the roast/brisket/turkey/etc. from the...

Worked like a charm
Product was easy to install. Resolved issue.

Symptoms:

Oven would not bake or broil. The surface burners worked. Checked the resistance of the two solenoids in the gas value and found one was bad. Both must be good for either function to work.

Didn't miss a beat!
Item works just as well the original part. Oven is back working fantastic again. Will be on the lookout when something else in the kitchen breaks down.

The Sharper Image Black Infrared, Carbon Heat and Convection Technology Super Wave Digital Oven

Best oven I ever owned!
Cooks from frozen, takes a little longer but it is just effortless like they say. Clean up is a snap with the self cleaning function. I cooked a whole bird in it on thanksgiving and the bird was so juicy and tender.
Roast veggies, cook stuffed pork chops from frozen, roast birds...... anything, it even toasts bread and browns buns.

I am a single guy and this oven just makes it really easy to cook my lunches for work, pop my two items in and I am done.
Baked potatoes are a snap, it takes a foil wrapped potato 45 min on the lower rack to cook at 350 degrees.

A great buy, quality product. Truly amazing, at the time of this review I have owned this for 1 and 1/2 years and it is going strong, I use it more than 10 times a week. If it burns up i'm buying another!

I have now owned this 2 years, I use it several times a day 365 days a year and it is still going strong. Buy with confidence. Please keep in mind that the pre set buttons are just a...

Super Wave Oven
I first purchased the NuWave and loved it until the plastic dome started cracking. Rather than buy another dome, I figured it would be better to purchase a product with a better design such as the Super Wave Oven which has a big glass bowl and a cover on top which should last longer and is easier to wash. The only problem I see with this design which the NuWave overcame is the heating element. The NuWave's heating element is a true infrared carbon heat element which is thick and only glows a little which I can tell will last for a long time. The Super Wave's heating element is a halogen light tube which won't last longer than a year - thus minus one star. The other thing annoying is the loud beeping noise when setting the heat and time. Other than those two things, the oven is great so far.

Truly amazing appliance
Fantastic in every way imaginable. I will be using this method of cooking with gladness and expectations in yummy expressions, LOL. Husband and I just kept saying ummmm, and yummy all the time as we enjoyed our dishes at dinner time. My review of this new experience of cooking and energy savings is the future for me. I have peace of mind knowing I don't need to use the oven (electric guzzler)again. My older bake/convection oven gave out and decided to invest in the newer version. I recommend this appliance to all homemakers, etc. You will not be disappointed at all. Only hope they could make a smaller (bowl) version for smaller cooking. The bowl is quite large to handle after cooking for two people. Nevertheless, it is considered versatile for large or small cooking.

Enviromate P7 Pronto Portable 4-Bar Pressure Hand Held Steam Cleaner and Fabric Steamer

Know what you're getting
Steam cleaners have their place but you should know their limitations. They basically spray a very tiny stream so if you're cleaning a large surface (like a sink or countertop, for instance) it's going to take forever. And you have to wipe off the surface afterwards to remove the water/dirt that's left behind. But the benefit is that you won't have to use chemicals. That's great for people with asthma or with pet birds, etc.
I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit. A lot of the competitor's brands don't get hot enough to actually sanitize, but supposedly this one does. (Don't know how you'd be able to prove it, though). But it did leave the surfaces I cleaned more "clean" looking than usual. On my countertop & glass cooktop there were no streaks like when I used chemicals before. The toilet looks cleaner than from just spraying with chemicals but you still have to wipe off the nasty water as the steamer will "rehydrate" whatever dirt is present, which tended to send a...

Works well for me
I didn't purchase this on Amazon but wanted to add a review because, like others, I did a lot of research before purchasing.

I purchased this for sanitation of furniture and mattresses, mainly, but looked forward to the other cleaning possibilities. A big factor in my purchase was the price point--so it is a bit less expensive than higher-end, larger machines...but then again, kind of expensive for its size and volume capacity.

Overall, it works well for me--good portability, seems solidly built, and I did not have the issue of the steam stopping after 20 seconds, as another reviewer mentioned. One thing I enjoy about it is you can refill it right when it empties--you do not have to wait for it to cool down. So even though it doesn't hold a lot, there is no waiting in between. And I find that it is ready to use very quickly.

The directions do warn you that if you hold the button down for a constant stream, you will lose pressure faster. And there is a...

Disappointing
Hi,
After much back and forth over what steam cleaner to try - I decided to try this one since I read a very positive review on this product and the price was right. However, as I suspected, it did not meet my expectations. I was very excited to try this item and upon receiving it (great shipping by the way, I received very quickly) I started cleaning right away. It was easy to use, I was able to use the attachments with no problem. I started in the kitchen with the sink. I was very excited to get that "white rim" that surrounds my faucet. But, nothing. It did not come clean. Then I moved onto the stove - it cleaned it, but a sponge and cleaner worked better. Then I moved to the fridge - again, it worked OK but not quite as good as sponge and cleaner. So, I decided to try the fabric attachment and work on a stain on my couch - nothing. So, I think I'm going to try one of the larger steaming units (that you can also do the floor) Wish me luck!

Sunbeam Humidifier Wick Filter, 1173

I ordered the Sunbeam filter but was sent another brand
WARNING: This is the second year I tried ordering what appears to be genuine Sunbeam filters. Once again, I was sent the bulkier, cheaper Protec filters that barely fit and smell bad. This rating is more about the provider than the filter. This year, I'm sending them back.

No Luck
This filter was supposed to fit my machine and although I had read that they will send a different one, I took a chance. Well, no luck here. They sent the wrong filter and now I am hoping they grant me a refund. Hopefully I have better luck there.

Sunbeam Filter Pad
This product came very quickly, I put it in the humidifier immediately, and it worked perfectly!

Maxi-Matic EHC-900 Elite Cuisine 4-Cup Percolator, White

Save Your Time - Money You'll Get Back
Purchased two pots, the first broke after one use. The second stop working after the third pot of coffee. Quality control lacking.

Elite Cuisine EC900 4 Cup Automatic Tea and Coffee
Not Really a 4 cup percolator....only holds 2 cups of liquid water. No auto shut off....you must unplug unit.

Rip off!
I am very disappointed with this product. I wanted a small, handy hot pot to heat water for coffee/tea/soup at home or traveling. I used it almost everyday, once or twice a day. After one month of usage, it stopped heating. I guess you get what you pay for. There is a definite need for an appliance like this and I thought this was it. It sure was NOT. Don't waste your money.

totally worth it.
This had to be the best buy. I'm still using the bags. the total cost was a fraction of the actual cost at the store.

Can't be beat
Price that seems too cheap when compared to my local shop. Yet was perfect fit and quality yet at a steal of a price.

Great price!
Quickly received the vacuum bags. They are easier to install then some I had bought elsewhere and the price was great.

Brylanehome Bread Maker

The BEST bread machine ever!
My husband purchased this bread machine for my birthday present. I loveit!!!! I had a bread machine in the past, but was never happy with them. Mainly the size of them. This machine is fantastic! I have made bagets over and over again. We love it! The only thing I recommend you do is buy a cookbook, because it doesn't come with one. I purchased "Betty Crocker's Best Bread Machine Cookbook: The Goodness of Homemade Bread the Easy Way". This cookbook works very well with the machine. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Overall, I like it.
Works as promised on the cycles I have tried. UPSIDE: 1. Bagguette trays and rack are a nice feature 2. Removable parts are dishwasher safe 3. Versatility DOWNSIDE: 1. Item is black and GRAY (NOT silver) 2. No recipes included (I knew this) 3. Piece of bagguette tray faulty, and would have to return everything to have it replaced. Not worth it. I'll modify the part 4. Slow shipping.

Makes great bread
Makes great bread. I think it might be because it has 2 paddles.
Does not come with recipes but that is easily obtained on the internet.

Bialetti Hot Chocolate Maker & Milk Frother

European Style Hot Chocolate in my Kitchen!
Love Bialetti's new Hot Chocolate Maker!

I'm a big hot chocolate fan, and would have to say the best cocoa experience of my life was in Spain. The hot chocolate was much creamier and richer than anything I've tried here in the US. Not having a lot of time to stand over the stove and whisk milk and chocolate together, the time was right for me to get an electric Hot Chocolate Maker.

The benefits of this machine are that it can make just enough for myself or, when there's a crowd it make up to 32 ozs. You set the dial/timer to adjust how long you'd like to heat the cocoa (less time for smaller amounts, more for larger) and bam it's done. I really like that I don't need to stand over and watch the machine until its ready.

You can use regular cocoa powder mix or chocolate shavings/chips with this machine - I highly recommend using the real deal. I've been using some Ghiradelli Drinking Chocolate which makes a more intense chocolate drink...

Great for the Money-Already paid for itself
I've been using this machine practically everyday (sometimes twice a day) for the last month. I use it mainly to make chai lattes in the mornings (to save money from going to SBucks). At night I sometimes use it for hot cocoa. The frother really does a great job and I get my lattes hot and steamed to perfection. I only gave it four stars because one day my latte ended up all over my counter and I still cannot figure out why (no cracks or anything). So I don't know if it was a malfunction or maybe the lid popped up for a few seconds when I wasn't looking. Bottom line: I would buy this exact machine again in a heart beat. At the price of my grande chai latte from SBucks (3.85), the machine has already paid for itself in the first month of use!

Update 08/2010
Well I had to reduce the rating from 4 to 3 stars as I had to stop using this machine about two months ago due to a number of things:
*Inside mechanism stopped spinning and would take two or three (or...

best machine for the money
I recently got home from spending a good amount of time in Europe. I absolutely LOVE their drinking chocolate (I don't drink coffee) and decided to get a machine so I can still enjoy it here in the States.
I spent a lot of time reviewing many different machines from $25 to $150. The lower end machines' reviews were poor more often than not ending with problems after 1-2 months. The higher end machines seemed to be just as good as this one. I decided on this machine and LOVE it! The mixing function actually leaves a little froth at the end of the cycle so I haven't needed to use the frother yet. It was trail and error with timing for the first few cups but after that I get a perfect drinking cocoa every time!
The machine is high quality construction and components. The heating mechanism is really even and accurate. The mixing mechanism is really efficient. All of these things together make for an incredible machine.
I am really amazed and pleased. I have...

Bonavita 1.7-Liter Variable Temperature Digital Electric Kettle

Great concept, but with several significant flaws
We really wanted to like this kettle, but unfortunately the unit we received didn't work well at all. We'll explain our experience below so you can take it into consideration as you make your own decision.

PROS:

1. Temperature control is great for tea lovers and seems reasonably accurate.

2. Temperature settings are customizable for precision.

CONS:

1. On the unit we received, a strong burst of steam escaped continuously from an invisible gap somewhere around the bottom of the handle, near the water-level window. Not just a little steam, but almost like a pressure spray. Interestingly, this stopped happening after a few uses, making us wonder if something melted to block the leak. In any case, it isn't a good sign of the build quality (at least on the particular unit we received; others might not have this problem).

2. When boiling on the max setting, the handle became too hot to touch with bare skin, and remained so...

Avoid!
This product worked great but after 6 months of daily use the heating element stopped working. At $70, I expected it to be a bit more reliable. I tried to contact customer support to file a warranty claim but kept getting the runaround. Then, I tried to see if I could fix it myself but the bottom panel is secured with triangle headed screws that nobody has a bit for. Basically, it seems like Bonavita's policy for broken products is "screw you, buy a new one."

Edit: I finally managed to get the bottom panel open. Turns out it was a blown thermal fuse. Assuming you're having the same problem I'm having and willing to do a little tinkering, you can order replacement fuses for about a buck each. Google the part number "G4A01192C" and it'll come up as the first result. Granted it's a little bit of work but worth it considering the price of buying a whole new kettle.

Does One Thing, and Does It Well
This is a very well designed kettle whose primary design goal was clearly to very accurately heat water to a specified temperature and keep it there. Every feature and control clearly speaks to that goal and it all works together seamlessly to achieve it.

The controls are simple, intuitive, quick, and easy to use. The desired temperature can be easily set using the preset button to cycle through the five preset temperatures and then, if desired, further customize by one degree increments. The readout displays the current water temperature rather than the target which is usually quite nice, but can be slightly annoying on rare occasions. The handle stays cool even when keeping water at a near boil for many hours.

There were some things about the kettle that I have not seen mentioned in many places, if any. There is a plastic water level window under the handle, though it doesn't seem to affect the taste of the water any. There is also a plastic strainer assembly...

Whirlpool WA906B Razor Scraper

Go to Menards
I thought the scraper was going to be something special but it turned out to be just a razor scraper that you can get at the dollar store. Cost, with shipping $10.00 to find this out.

The only review you'll ever need
This product is cheapy made the blade moves around in the holder and as with all metal blades that contact water it will rust up. I use liquid barkeepers friend and it takes the stuff off like magic. It's a razor blade attached to a blade holder which is then attached to a piece of plastic. the plastic piece in the middle of it is adjustable to how far you want the blade to stick out up to two postions. the third position is it's "not in use" position which is a safety feature but you have to pull the tab/lever up in order to lock it in place for all three positions. I'm not sure how long it will hold up since the blades moves around in place but i'll find out. i'm not sure if thats the way it's supposed to be but i tried pulling on it and it won't come out so maybe it supposed to be that way to be able to maneuver better. It does as advertised, it takes out cooked on stains on the stovetops it's made for. Doesn't come with instructions doesn't have the whirlpool brand printed on the...

niceEshop(TM) Knife Fork Chopsticks Combination Tableware-Random Color +Free niceEshop Cable Tie

Chopstick cheating.
I saw this product on 9GAG it looked cool. Ordered some got them in timely well packaged situation.
When using as chopsticks they work well but the tips do not align but it's not a big problem , other than this I would give 5 stars.
I love it when a product is what the picture leads you to expect it to be.
The owners of the sushi bar I used it in were fascinated by it , yet considered it cheating.

Not sure what I was expecting.
I saw the video for knife-fork-chopsticks and was intrigued. I mean, who wouldn't be? tying together the most definitive aspects of eastern and western cuisine? Count me in! Anywho, as an avid and proficient chopstick user sharing a household with 2 <ugh> fork users </ugh> I saw this as an opportunity to expand all of our consciousnesses.

Alas, it was not to be.

The old adage of "you get what you pay for" has never held more true. While the device in the video was sold out everywhere and $10, these were available and approximately $2 a pair. I ordered 3. And waited. They ship from China, so obviously there is some lag time. No biggie.

When I received them I was less-than-impressed with the packaging, (who cares, it's going in the trash anyways) and upon removing them from the package I was surprised to note that the colored "grip" areas are simply painted on, the fork and knife are bulky on the sharp end and too...

Very Convenient
I got this for work lunches. I am always looking for chopsticks for times I have noodles. It's easy to clean and store.

Negative Ion Projector (A True Negative Ion Generator / Air Ionizer)

The best ionizer on the market!
In the late '70s, I interviewed on of the top two experts on negative ions in the world, for an article that I wrote for a magazine. Shortly thereafter, I actually sold ionizers for a little while.

Since then, I have tried different models, and was usually disappointed in them. They either rusted quickly, created ozone (bad for you and smells bad too), or had too little output.

This ionizer is perfect. Great output, no ozone production, and very durable (mine's been running continuously for over a year).

If you are looking for a negative ion generator, this is the one.

In addition, I corresponded with its creator, and found him very helpful and responsive.

Great!

p.s. A friend showed me another ionizer using carbon fibers from Comtech Research costing over twice as much. We tested both units twice, and this one (for only $69) put out over twice the ions of the more expensive unit.

Awesome!
This ionizer is powerful and in comparison to the Holmes air purifier I bought which also generates negative ions (which I confirmed using the ion tester that comes with this item). The Holmes one has to have the tester much closer to it to register output, but in front of this item I can have it what seems to be a foot away and the detector flickers.

I also did some good research and found out that negative ions really are beneficial for dropping ultra fine particles down to the ground (so it's like a hepa filter that never clogs).

And this may seem like a possible placebo affect, who knows, but it seemed to me my sinuses cleared a little not long after turning this on and pointing it towards my nose. I'm sitting next to it.

Another great positive about this item is that IT DOES NOT SMELL. Often products that come from China made of metal and plastic have a sickening, literally sickening WD-40 like smell but much worse. And this item is made in...

Works
Was a little concerned when I first looked at it, but seems like its cranking out a ton of negative ions.

Perfect
Just what I expected. Had no problems with the product and it fits my Kennmore Elite with no problems at all.

Whirlpool 279857 Seal for Dryer

Perfect and Inexpensive
We had a repairman come out to look at our dryer when the drum started locking up and I could smell something burning. He took it apart and told us we needed to replace just about every part but the motor and that it would cost us almost $300. Instead, we checked Amazon and found the main parts that needed to be replaced: the seal and the belt. We did the work ourselves and saved a ton of money! It was so easy to do: it just took a screwdriver and ratchet to pull the dryer apart and pliers to pull the old seal off. I highly recommend doing it yourself!

A perfect fit!
Bought this product to replace a faulty one in my current dryer. Found a video on You Tube on how to disassemble the dryer, remove the tub to access the area I needed to reach, replace the felt seal, replace the tub and reassemble the dryer. My 11-year-old son and I replaced the item in about 30 minutes including drying-time for the high-temperature adhesive. Job well done!

Air-O-Swiss AOS 7145 Ultrasonic Humidifier - Cool Mist

BEST HUMIDIFIER / VAPORIZER EVER!!! SAFE for Kids & Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Fungal,
I bought this after reading a review of vaporizers / humidifiers in Good Housekeeping magazine, [...] This Air O Swiss model is different than the one recommended by GH, but it is AWESOME.

It's a cold mist, so it's safe for kids / pets; I only need to fill it once a day; it is designed so that it won't grow mold or harbor germs / viruses; very fine mist & leaves no powdery residue. VERY EASY to USE! AWESOME!

BONUS -- much lower energy costs than other humidifiers / vaporizers AND much more effective.

Gold Membrane Disintegrated within 2 Weeks
I had the product about 2 weeks, and decided to clean it, according to the provided maintenance manual. I've noticed that the gold paint on the membrane was in very poor condition and small chips of gold paint were all over. However, the manual says the membrane should be cleaned with the soft provided brush. So I did. That completely destroyed the gold paint layer and the device is not producing vapor any more. The most annoying thing is that the warranty is valid only if the purchased device is registered within 10 days of the purchase, which I had not done (didn't have time to read everything that came with the device). I've just sent email to the support and asked for help with this... We'll see. In the meantime, DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE UNTIL THE COMPANY CLEARLY STATES THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED. Further, I find annoying that the warranty is invalid without registration. Perhaps we should be buying from a company that has more confidence in their products?

Update: 2...

Gold membrane problem here as well
My unit worked well out of the box and appeared to be a great little unit, but the brassy/gold coating on the ultrasonic membrane is almost completely gone after only a couple months of use and the unit no longer produces a mist. It appears I have the exact same problem as the previous reviewer James. I can only assume that they got a bad batch of membranes and will have this remedied promptly, and am returning the unit under its 3-year warranty for a replacement. Considering the unit's only two months old, time will tell how many replacements I go through in the next three years if they don't fix the design...

FastCap 3-H LMOUNT 3rd Hand Lasermount

Could be better
It does what it says pretty well. My main complaint is the very flexible plastic it's made from. It feels very cheap. I bought it to use with the Pacific Laser Systems PLS-60521 PLS180 Tool, 180-degree Fan Angle, Plumb and Level Line Tool. The magnetic arm the PLS laser comes with is so much nicer. The only problem is it sits flat on the pole and wobbles ever so slightly which makes it difficult lining up vertical laser lines with some jobs. So I bought this. The flat PLS arm is powder coated aluminum instead of plastic, the threaded knob is brass instead of zinc plated, the knob is also held on by an e-clip instead of a clear plastic washer. The knob on the 3rd hand mount easily falls out of the slot btw. Especially in a toolbox. Wish it was better but for $15 I'll just cannibalize it and use the pole mounting bracket with my PLS arm

It does the job
I own a full feature rotating laser. The FastCap Magnetic Laser Mount will hold my laser to the 3rd Hand support pole. I had to phone FastCap directly to have the 1/4" to 3/8" threaded insert sent from the factory. They sent it no charge and were pleasant to deal with. While this product does it's job, I would prefer it to be a little more stout, or at least have a fall safety catch. (I don't want to have to buy a new laser if it fell) This product would feel more secure if used with a smaller laser.

Mount
Really handy tool for third hand. Hard to do fine adjustments but you van work around it. Will also fit most cameras a makes a great tripod. The only problem is the size of the screw is to long. You just need to put a spacer when using a camera.

The magnets are real strong and will not have to worry about falling with accidental bump. I habe a dewalt 2 way self leveling laser

BonJour Battery-Powered Cafe Latte Frother with Stand, Chrome/Black

Love it, except for the battery compartment
I've had several hand frothers (admitted coffee geek here). The two-battery ones (areolattes) died quickly, and other four-battery ones are more expensive. I even "built" a 4 battery frother out of a used Bonjour Turbo cuisine, and one of my leftover whisks from the broken areolattes. When that rig started falling apart, I looked at the various 4 battery options. Despite some of the other reviews, I went for this one, figuring I could always rig in an old frother whisk if I didn't like the frothing disk.

I am so happy with it, I just bought a spare.

The battery insertion is tricky, you have to figure out on your own which of the two batteries have the plus side (button) up, into the lid (where there are plastic ridges so that you'd "know" that the negative side wouldn't work).

I love the disk vs. the typical whisk. It stays much cleaner (I use it to mix other stuff), and I've had no problem frothing skim milk. You have to follow the directions and...

Pro-Lab RL116 Long-Term Radon Gas Test Kit

don't know about the product, but beware of Pro-Lab
I bought this test to use in my parents home. Still don't know if the product itself works because I never got test results from Pro-Lab. When something went wrong with the test, I consulted them on the phone, followed their instruction, spent the money, and ended having 3 follow-up calls with them, each with different and contradictory information. Nobody knew anything including the history of the issue and my previous calls, and they denied they had told me what they did, twice, even though I had it in email from them... They ended up 'offering' me my money back but that never happened either. An apology was out of the question evidently.

I will never do business with a company like that, especially if the health of my family is at stake.

Best bet out there
I'm buying a kit for the third time now. The previous two worked great. I took an initial 90 day test and it came back 3.9, just under the EPA's action limit. I did a low cost remediation solution (didn't require a barrier) and tested again the following year. Got 2.1. I'm testing again now 2 years later to verify everything is as it should be. The short term tests are the best you can do for a quick real estate transaction but they can give erratic results and you'll want to use several samplers (testers) to get a more accurate reading. Over the course of a long term test, the results are evened out to give you a more accurate indication of actual levels in the house over the course of different weather, time of day, heating and air conditioning operation. In my house, leaking air ducts were pressurizing the crawl space and blowing contaminated air into the living space. All I needed to do was seal the ducts and slightly pressurize the house to keep crawl space air out. A...

Don't trust this product!
I purchased this product on July. 16, 2011. I still don't know if this product works. I placed the test kit where the packaging suggested. I sent the product in the provided self-addressed envelope and placed it in the US mail on Oct. 16, 2011. The instructions said that it would only take 2 weeks to get the test results. I called the company on Nov. 16, 2011 (4 weeks later). There were no results in their system for me. They had no explanation and no offer to replace the test kit. Getting the test results was included in the purchase price. Therefore this product did not do what it claims to do.

Waste King L-8000TC Legend Series 1 HP Batch Feed Operation Garbage Disposer

Waste King rules!
After going through three 3/4 HP Insinkerators in 10 years, I'd had it with that brand. Having recently switched to Waste King, I can say that the 1 HP model is quiet and powerful. The difference between 3/4 HP and 1 HP is huge. The accompanying manual says that you can put corn cobs in the Waste King--they don't recommend it since they take a very long time to grind, but, trust me, it would be disposal suicide to try corn cob disposal in an Insinkerator. As an experiment, I did put a corn cob into the Waste King, and it did grind it down (took about 5 minutes). To me, this is impressive.

I don't know how long the Waste King will last, but the unit seems to be much sturdier and stronger than the Insinkerator (I'm speaking of the 3/4 HP Insinkerator that Home Depot carries).

Pros:
Easy to install and the instructions were reasonably clear.
Powerful, quiet, hasn't jammed once in the 3 months I've had it.
Larger opening than the equivalent...

excellent, safe disposal
I have been happy with this disposal. It is very safe since it is only operates with the drain cover securely covering the throat of the disposal. There is no risk for fingers to get caught unawares or for shards of food (such as bones) to unexpectently fly out. It is quiet, powerful and I have not had difficulty correctly positioning the cover to activate the switch.

Waste King L-8000TC Legend Series 1 HP Batch Feed Operation Waste Disposer
Purchased the waste disposal about 1 month ago. It was quite easy to install. It is more quiet than other reviews lead you to believe. Noise is absolutely not an issue. A small detail that seems to annoy my wife and my son is that you have to be quite precise in lining up the disposal cover to get the contact. Our previous disposal did not require to line up anything. This one has about 1/8 in. slit that needs to line up. They will learn and hopefully get better at it...

Carpet/Floor Sweeper

Helping hand!
This sweeper is great for quick pick-ups on carpets and hard wood floors. It's easy to assemble; light weight; stores in a small area and very easy to empty. However, in some instances, you have to go over & over to pick-up debris and it doesn't really get into tight corners or along floor walls. I would recommend this sweeper strictly for quick pick-ups.

Works great
I have 5 cats that hate the vaccum cleaner but they make a mess around their litter boxes. My husband sleeps late which means that I cannot use the vaccum cleaner when I need to so I decided to give this sweeper a try. It actually works very good for my purposes. Gets up the litter and even a lot of cat hair. I can spot clean areas without scaring the cats and without waking my sleeping spouse. Wish I had purchased it sooner. Also it was a great price!

Love My Carpet Sweeper
My sweeper is a keeper. It picks up cat hair that my big vacuum does not. It is so lightweight. I use it everyday.

Severin WK 3644 hot water kettle dual voltage: 115/230 V

Unit is perfect size (large beer mug siize) and sturdy. 2 small cups and spoons included fits inside pot. Also has screen filter at spout. Heating element on bottom is sealed with plate. Delivered on time and in good condition.

Germans make good stuff!
Just got done on a 3 week SE Asia trip and used day and night at my hotel.

It has a switch on the bottom for either 110V or 220V.

Has an auto shut off when the water boils. I had no problems at all with this item
and I recommend..its a bit pricy but quality made and travels well. It comes with a couple
of cheap cups and small spoons that fit inside but I never use them..

Great for office use
This is probably the best kettle I could have possibly bought under my circumstances. I am in the military and currently stationed overseas. And as I am addicted to coffee and tea, a kettle or pot of some sort is a must. The country I am currently in uses 220v but I will undoubtedly return to the US and love that I can take this kettle without having to get a transformer. This kettle is really small and compact. It makes about 1.5 cups of tea/coffee- which is perfect for me. And on the days I demand more caffeine it is really not a problem as this boils in under 4 mins- it's super fast! It's also a plus that it turns off right after it starts to boil, so in case I forgot about it there is no safety issue. I haven't needed to use the cups that came with it but I can see it being handy for travel.
The only thing I dislike is the fact that you have to unplug it to pour it. Not truly a hassle, but it would be convenient if it heated on a base from which it could be removed from to...

Instant Fix
Fit over my existing vent easily - 4 screws. Looks fine - no more noticeable than the white vent itself was. Be sure to remove the old bird's nest ( with long sleeves, gloves & head cover) before attaching the vent guard! We didn't - and had an invasion of hungry bird mites in our house from the ceiling fixtures. No kidding - it was a nightmare. Would have all been prevented with this simple guard.

M-D Building Products 43251 Attic Armour Attic Fan Cover, 48-Inch x 48-Inch

Not a quality product.
Spent a lot of time getting this installed the proper way. It looked good and worked fine at first. After about 4-5 hours it fell to the floor. I re-installed it pressing it securely in place and it came loose a second time in several hours. I discovered it doesn't stick to the silver side permanently. Will be returning it.

good stuff - get one!
The shutter seal is something most homeowners should acquire. It seals a major opening in the ceiling which cuts energy loss and contributes to a more comfortable environment in the home.

Endraft Windblock Replacement Liners 3 Pack

Seal up your ACs tight!
Anyone with window unit air conditioners is familiar with the drafts that come in through them in winter. The Endraft system stops them beautifully, and the quilted covers are neat and unobtrusive. I've tried using other plastic for liners, but if you want the quilted covers to work, you really should get these replacement liners--they make all the difference in the world!

Be aware, though, that a lot of the cold air leakage associated with window ACs comes in AROUND the units, below especially, and these won't help with that. You need to buy insulation foam strips and stuff them in the indentations under the units to really block all the drafts. That's a defect in the design of window ACs, and is not the fault of the product. But if you are listening, manufacturers, I'd buy a system to block those drafts, too!

Connectland USB Desk Fan (Black)

This fan is much better than I thought it would be
I bought a MacBook pro recently, along with a laptop cooler mat with 2 fans.

The top of the laptop gets very hot, especially when the temperature is hotter than 72 degrees in our home. It made me concerned for the well-being of the processor chip in my investment.

I didn't have a fan in our home that would cool the laptop without being really noisy and too large for my desk.

I researched many fans for this purpose, and finally ordered this one (actually 1 for me and 1 for my husband).

I paid LESS than $15 (each) for it, and it is a super FANTASTIC fan! Compact so it doesn't invade my desk, QUIET (yay!!), the fan guard is made of metal (not plastic so it DOESN'T squeek), the base is sturdy, the fan oscillates or doesn't, plus it tilts up and down. It cools my laptop really well on the low setting, and the high setting is very impressive for such a small fan.

You can use 4 AA batteries, or just plug it into a USB port on your...

Excellent fan for the office...
This is an excellent fan for the office or home office. It is quiet and provides a greater airflow than I expected. The fan guards are metal the base is hard plastic and seems very durable. Plug it into an open USB port and your set.

Love it
I purchased this product to cool off after my bike ride to work. It's compact but puts out a lot of air and it fits perfectly on my desk at work. Definitely would recommend.

Ovente KS94R Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle, 1.8-Liter, Red

disappointing
this kettle has/had a lot of potential. it's a nice, simple design and i really liked the red colour.

unfortunately, as another review described, i received one that looked used. there were some water stains inside and a bit of a dent on the exterior.
i was expecting a new product so i returned it.

i got another one because i liked everything else about it, but the second one came and right away, i noticed the bottom part separating slightly from the upper metal body. i figured a little glue coming off might be alright, and i wanted to avoid returning a second time. so i used it, for about two weeks, maybe, and then steam started coming out from under switch, and there was a slight burning smell. quickly shut it off. returned.

if only it would've functioned decently, would've loved to have kept it.

with my experience, not sure if it's the seller stocking second-rate merchandise, or the quality of this brand/kettle itself.

Stylish, quality product
I purchased this product for my girlfriend for Christmas. I wasn't sure what to expect since this kettle was less expensive than some alternatives and didn't have any reviews at the time I purchased it. This is a rare instance where a product has exceeded my expectations (so far). My girlfriend has had it for about 2 weeks and loves it. The finish is eye-catching but not overdone. I can't comment on the durability of the finish at this point. The design is well thought-out - I've seen some electric kettles that didn't make much sense from an ergonomic standpoint. It sits on a base that plugs into the wall - but the kettle is portable and easily removed from the base. It brings water to a boil in about 1-3 minutes, depending on the volume in the kettle. When the on-switch is thrown, a fairly intense blue indicator light shows that it's heating - I like this feature. My girlfriend is very pleased... and therefore, I am very pleased. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars...

on/off switch doesn't work
The on and off switch is badly designed. It doesn't stay on. you have to hold the switch down to boil water.I returned mine

Eureka inlet Filter # 61549

good
Don't know what I am expected to write about a piece of cloth that works as a filter. It works as it should and hopefully it is doing what it is supposed to do. Maybe in the event of an allien invasion it could be used to filter the coffee. Will update review when martians show up in my house.

Eureka filter
This inlet filter for the Eureka vacuum cleaner is exactly like the one that came with the device. Fits perfectly.

perfect
Exactly what I needed...
I have tried to purchase this product various places with no luck...
either it's sold out or the store fails to restock the item in a timely manner...
Amazon comes through every time...

MaxiMatic ETS-401 Elite Cuisine 20-Ounce Citrus Juicer, White

Worst Purchase I've ever made on Amazon
I've never experienced anything like this juicer. I guess you get what you pay for.
It looks okay for the price. Things started out well.
I was quite proud of myself for saving so much money by not purchasing a higher priced unit.
I juiced 3 oranges and 3 small limes and the unit died.
No funny burned smells. Nothing. It just died on the third orange. Out the box and my very first use.
I didn't bother replacing it. Thankfully Amazon stands behind their products so I returned it.

eh kinda sucks
i bought this and when we recieved it we made juice...after the second use it stopped working smelled like burned plastic.....it could of been a good product if it would of shorted.

Perfect for small quanities...and occasionally large
I cook with a lot of fresh citrus juice, and purchased this after my (more expensive) manual juice press broke after only a year of moderate use. I used this several times a week during the several months of citrus season and am very pleased with my purchase. I usually only juice 2-4 fruits at a time, but the juicer has also held up for a couple marathon juicing sessions of 20-30 lemons a session (to freeze the juice from the last lemons off my tree of the season). I'll update if/when it dies on me, but so far this juicer is proving to be an excellent value for the money.

Hoover Steam Vac Carpet/Upholstery Detergent (48-Ounce)

good product
I've used this detergent for many years. It hasn't failed me yet! I'm glad they still make it as I've not been able to find it in stores. It does a good job.

Nice Product
So far I think this cleans just as well as the other Hoover detergents I've tried as other reviewers have mentioned. It worked fine lifting off old juice stains on white carpet even though this one claims it's not suited for it.

Great little machine
I've had the little Green Machine for 10 years. You can't do the whole living room carpet, but on small areas it does a really good job. Have also used it for upholstery and mattresses as well. So simple to use on one side you add the detergent that has been delouted with clean water. Then turn it on and start cleaning. Convient opening for adding more cleaning detergent and also a spout with lid to dump the dirty water. Here's a tip I ran out of detergent fluid, so I went on the web site ehow.com and looked up how to make detergent and I was back in business. Here's another tip: when you're done with a cleaning job spray a little WD-40 on the trigger assembly, otherwise if the machine sits for a year or two it will stick. Would recommend to all.
