Germans make good stuff!
Just got done on a 3 week SE Asia trip and used day and night at my hotel.
It has a switch on the bottom for either 110V or 220V.
Has an auto shut off when the water boils. I had no problems at all with this item
and I recommend..its a bit pricy but quality made and travels well. It comes with a couple
of cheap cups and small spoons that fit inside but I never use them..
Great for office use

It's also a plus that it turns off right after it starts to boil, so in case I forgot about it there is no safety issue. I haven't needed to use the cups that came with it but I can see it being handy for travel.
The only thing I dislike is the fact that you have to unplug it to pour it. Not truly a hassle, but it would be convenient if it heated on a base from which it could be removed from to...
