FastCap 3-H LMOUNT 3rd Hand Lasermount

Could be better
It does what it says pretty well. My main complaint is the very flexible plastic it's made from. It feels very cheap. I bought it to use with the Pacific Laser Systems PLS-60521 PLS180 Tool, 180-degree Fan Angle, Plumb and Level Line Tool. The magnetic arm the PLS laser comes with is so much nicer. The only problem is it sits flat on the pole and wobbles ever so slightly which makes it difficult lining up vertical laser lines with some jobs. So I bought this. The flat PLS arm is powder coated aluminum instead of plastic, the threaded knob is brass instead of zinc plated, the knob is also held on by an e-clip instead of a clear plastic washer. The knob on the 3rd hand mount easily falls out of the slot btw. Especially in a toolbox. Wish it was better but for $15 I'll just cannibalize it and use the pole mounting bracket with my PLS arm

It does the job
I own a full feature rotating laser. The FastCap Magnetic Laser Mount will hold my laser to the 3rd Hand support pole. I had to phone FastCap directly to have the 1/4" to 3/8" threaded insert sent from the factory. They sent it no charge and were pleasant to deal with. While this product does it's job, I would prefer it to be a little more stout, or at least have a fall safety catch. (I don't want to have to buy a new laser if it fell) This product would feel more secure if used with a smaller laser.

Mount
Really handy tool for third hand. Hard to do fine adjustments but you van work around it. Will also fit most cameras a makes a great tripod. The only problem is the size of the screw is to long. You just need to put a spacer when using a camera.

The magnets are real strong and will not have to worry about falling with accidental bump. I habe a dewalt 2 way self leveling laser
