So far so good! Juice tastes GREAT!
I purchased this from the tv phone number, but since I buy alot of products via amazon I decided to review it here. I have had it for about 5 days now and it works great. I have made juice for my 20 month old son and I make a juice and add to the fusion booster for a smoothie every morning. It is very easy to clean and the juice is fresh and GREAT! I have had juicers in the past and gave them away because you had to cut everything up and the cleaning process was horrible. This is so easy to use just put the fruits and veggies in whole (minus apple cores and rinds) and that's it. I started a juice fast yesterday and it does not make much noise either. I like and I will see if it lasts:)
8/13/13- It is still working fine. I would add that you do have to cut apples up and remove the seeds. Most other fruits and veggies can be put in whole. I cut up my beets too just to be safe. Again, I am very pleased with this juicer and I hope it lasts:)
Yet another Fusion Juicer experience...
We purchased our Fusion Juicer at a local retailer and it has performed reasonably well over the last four or five months. We juice two to three times a week. The thermistor overheat safety shutdown has only occurred once. We've since learned that the blade teeth are small and prone to clogging by apple peel and excessive pressure on the pusher causing the thermistor to open and shutting the unit off. Other reviews have mentioned a burning smell. These folk are expecting far too much from this unit and operating it incorrectly by pressing too hard and overloading it. I'm sure some will try to pack the chute full with material then press with all their might. Not good. If you simply cut your material such that the small teeth can work, it will function much better for you. I have noticed that the pulp is much dryer when we do not get in a hurry and let the filter/blade assembly do its thing. The top of the filter slants outward thus the material moves upward and into the pulp collector...
Versatile and quiet
Pulp is nice and dry. Super easy to clean...like 2 minutes if cleaned immediately following juicing. Does wheatgrass!! Minimal food prep so very fast to process. Used several times a day and is a good work horse. Feeder tube is long enough that food doesn't bounce out before you insert the pusher. That was problematic on the Hamilton Beach. People have complained about the catching bay not being large enough but I don't find that much of a problem. I juice a lot of lemons so I must empty my compost worthy pulp first before adding lemon as my final ingredient to any detox drinks. (Citrus pulp can't go in compost pile.) Rpms are high enough to extract juice quickly without heating up juice and destroying enzymes. I've owned 6 juicers in the last 20 years and this one outperforms them all in ease of use, ease to clean, versatility to extract things like wheatgrass (not many juicers do this well if at all), quietness of motor, and amount of juice extracted. Juicing has been my...
