Maytag Dryer Gas Valve Ignition Solenoid Coil Kit 279834

product received very quick and worked!!
well, after some google research it seems that 90% of the problem encountered for gas clothes dryer where the heat is on/off and took longer to dry up a cycle, that this part is the solution... the price is under $12 and looking at a possible replacement new unit costing $500 to $1000, the amount is worth a risk.. once the installed which is pretty simple, started it right away.. so far for the last hour or so, I can feel the heat on the front wall where unlike before, it is hot for a while and turns cold .. i may have at least saved $500 at least (knowing my wife, she'll go with the $1,000 brand new clothes dryer with steam :-) ).. now, this may last for a few years again.. thanks!!
fyi.. mine is Performa by Maytag Model PYG2200AWW..

Simple to install & very inexpensive
I've got a 20 year old Maytag gas dryer (model # LDG8200AAW (no fancy name)) and the dryer would make a high pitched whistle when the flame ignited. It sounded like a teapot. I ended up cleaning the burner tube and ripping out the gas valve assembly thingy. A new assembly would have cost $150 so I figured I'd try to replace the coils/solenoids since they were only about ten bucks. Sure enough, replacing these did the trick. Apparently they regulate gas throughput. Oh, and my old coils did not test open or short with a multimeter.

Easy to install (two screws and the old ones come right out). I had the coils replaced about 3 years ago and paid some guy $100 to come out. Ordering these is a much better alternative!

New parts at a great price.
I installed the new solenoids and it worked as expected. Easy install. Watch a few YouTube videos and save yourself the tech cost of fixing your dryer.
