CTA Digital TV-P7 7.0-Inches

Good, but not perfection
A great little digital TV with a crisp, clear picture. Perfect for traveling or in case of a power failure. The remote is almost too small to be useful, and I was a bit disappointed with the battery life when fully charged (about 1.5 hr.). All-in-all ... the best presently on the market.

Seriously Lacking
Pros: The picture is sharp and clear. Stand has handy cradle to carry remote. Multiple interfaces.
Cons: Short battery life 1.5 hours max. This TV touts capabilities with MP4 video files. I have tried hundreds of MP4 files with frustratingly limited success. The files are extremely slow to load. The remote is completely unresponsive during this phase. Videos play back in slow motion with no sound. I have searched for recommended bit rate specifications etc. but have found none. The TV functionality is okay but almost every channel displays a "Channel Blocked" screen requiring four zeros to be entered each time. There is nowhere to disable this in the menu. Local stations in my area are 30-40 miles away. I have played full length movies and they work great as long as they are not longer than 1.5 hours at which point the battery quits. MP3 files play with no problem, but sound tinny through the built-in speakers. The TV will not play WMA, or OGG music files. Picture files display just fine.

The instruction booklet is very poor. It takes a lot of fiddling around to figure out how things really work as opposed to what the instructions say works, or in many cases does not mention at all. I still have not figured out what the Zoom button on the remote does.

I also have not been able to find out if it is OK to play the TV when the charger is connected. I bought this item to use in the...
